Finding a therapist who is a good fit for you is important - I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation and I am happy to speak with you about any questions or concerns you may have.
Please contact me to find out more about my session fees. I currently accept and am in-network with all Premera, Aetna, First Choice Health, Kaiser HMO and PPO plans. Premera insurance plans include Lifewise, Global, Heritage, Lifewise Health Plan of Washington Preferred, LifeWise Assurance Co., Foundation, Heritage Prime, Heritage Signature, and Lifewise Connect.
If you do not see your insurance listed here, I can bill your insurance company as an "out-of-network" provider and you may be eligible for some reimbursement for counseling services. I am happy to submit claims on your behalf for your out-of-network benefits or provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Please check with your insurance company about any out-of-network benefits you may have. Unfortunately, I do not accept any Washington state medicaid/ Apple Health or Medicare insurance plans at this time.
Good Faith Estimate Notice You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Benefits of Private Pay Counseling
Paying out of pocket for counseling can offer many benefits for adults or children in counseling. Private pay therapy provides additional confidentiality, including the added protection that any given diagnosis will not be released or deemed a preexisting condition with your insurance company. This may be particularly beneficial if you are worried about your employer finding out about you going to counseling. It also allows you to have more control over the length and focus of treatment since your treatment will not be regulated or overseen by your insurance company. Please contact me to find out more regarding my private pay rate.
Payment
I accept cash, checks, FSA cards, HSA cards, and all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express). Please note that there will be a $25 fee for all returned checks. Payment is required at the beginning of each session unless other payment arrangements have been made.
